Hassan Fathy Building
Our museum is subdivided into different sectors, one of them is the building of the famous architect Hassan Fathy that contains numerous and incredible works of art in different rooms, we go little by little to take a tour, specifying in which sector each work is located.

“MUDEJAR” POLYCHROME COFFERED CEILING. WALL 1, from left to right
The last room on the top floor was specially built to fit the “mudéjar” coffered ceiling, dated 1498, Tarazona (Zaragoza) and declared “Heritage of the Balearic Islands”. It bears the following inscription: “This chapel was built at the expense of Juan Castellano Fernandes perpetual Chaplain of the Church of Taraçona, which chapel was built mainly for the worship of God and the respect for the Holy conception of Our Lady the Virgin Mary and was completed the year thousand IIII XC VIII after the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ.” “Elizabethan Gothic” or “mudéjar” style, executed by Moorish craftsmen commissioned by Spanish patrons, mixed decorative elements representative of both Christian and Moorish craftsmanship
